You can fuck right off with that kind of bollocks. How does questioning the wisdom of going into a 50 or 60 game season with just TWO recognised strikers (cos no way is Jovetic a centre forward) constitute "crying like a woman"? If you can't spot the almighty and unnecessary gamble inherent in that, then fair enough, but don't start gobbing off at those that very obviously can

i think maybe because he believes the management who work with the players everyday, that one of two things has happened. The player is that unhappy, there is no point in having him around or there is a young player they feel can chip in with the third striker role. Either way if Negredo wants to move on, good luck to him and thanks for memories.

Finally a sensible voice in all the screaming.... ;)

I understand the bit about him being unhappy.....but letting him go without finding a replacement.....doesn't make sense....Yaya still with us and he wasn't happy.....you don't just sell everyone because they want a move......but if you do agree to sell/loan the player...you put plans in place....so it doesn't weaken the team.....

We must have someone lined up for the January window and we have decided to cash in on Negrado now. It is the only logical reason for it

what do you mean by CASH IN? We are loaning him out. Yes, loan.
Loan with a difference, if he goes he will not be coming back.

I'm happy with this deal. Not sure about a replacement but, anything can happen so if the bosses think this is okay then I am too...
Who says the bosses are happy about it? They might be saying the exact same thing as a lot of us are but find themselves in a situation that's too advanced and we find ourselves without the time to rectify it. There could be a meeting between Pellegrini Begiristain Soriano and al Mubarak next week and they might all agree that this was a negative thing and we hope we don't regret it. People make mistakes all the time in work, maybe City have here.

Maybe we won't regret it and Kun and Jovetić stay fit all season and Džeko doesn't go into one of his low in confidence slumps. But it's a maybe going off previous examples.

Might .... could.....might.......maybe........maybe........maybe

A born pessimist. We did our big spending over the last 3 years. We are now tweaking our squad and PLANNING our buys NOT panic buying. We can't just buy players because they are available - nor can we stop other teams including the scum, from trying to improve their squad. But it doesn't lessen the quality we already have in our squad!!!!

Yes yes

The PL Post ‏@ThePLPost 1m
#ManCity have sanctioned Alvaro Negredo’s move to @valenciacf according to @GraemeBailey. #TDD

Think it's a given that Negredo is off
Not sure what is going on at City but it is worrying. Don't care if you call me a flapper as I've been called worse. We play with 2 strikers generally and now only have 3, 2 of whom were injured a lot last season. We have a number of huge games and as soon as there are a couple of injuries/ suspensions we may be threadbare. We bought Fernando and let 3 midfielders go(Barry, Garcia and Rodders). We spent £32 million on an unproven defender.
It means our key world class players are going to get no rest especially as we are restricted in CL.
I think some people are taking huge gambles with our future, I think there are still big question marks over Pellers (no serious manager in our position would play the likes of Aguero in the league cup but I wouldn't put it past Pellers because we haven't got anyone else). Lopes has gone on loan so has Huws and it all seems a bit mad to me with no thought.
Sorry for the rant in the wrong thread but I see cock up history repeating itself

Negredo apparently begging to go to Valencia according to sky sports....
How the fuck do they know....
He's sat outside the Etihad with his blanket and a begging pot saying "funds for Valencia"

We don't have plans?

LOL, we've gone down from 4 strikers to 2. What makes you think we won't bring someone in if needed in Jan?

Erm, that's 4 months away. And in the meantime if Kun cops for let's say a 3 month injury, we do what? Flog Dzeko to death, Wednesday and Saturday, and cross our fingers? A crass gamble, simple as that

And how many strikers do our rivals have? Check Bayerns squad for reference......

.......managed by the tippy tap, false no.9 king. We ain't. Last time I looked, Pellegrini liked to play 4-4-2. Perhaps he's planning to flog Kun and Dzeko to death in tandem, eh?!
