Sadly it's all going to end in tears... Remember where you heard that first.

If it all ends in tears then why is it ' sadly'.

Get with the irony... lol, Seriously I'm giving him till Christmas hahaha

Sooo the rags get a manager who is spending half his summer in Brazil concentrating on his current job

Yet all of a sudden they are going to become title challengers again

Do you realise how far away they are from us on the football pitch?

Spending £200 million won't even cover half of the gap :)

Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Anderson, Nani have all left/likely to leave so will need replacing. Then there is the likes of Smalling, Jones, Fletcher who aren't good enough to challenge. Id say they need at least 6 top players to get near the top four and that's if all the new signings come off and the current players take to Van Gaal

No champions league, a club in disarray, financially they are restricted (whatever the Yanks say) and any new players would probably have to play next to Cleverly. Going to be very interesting the calibre of who actually decides to join them.

I can see them plagiarising our "project" rhetoric in this window to attract players - just you wait and see.

Let's just say:

Friday 13th June
Spain v Netherlands (defeat)

Wednesday 18th June
Australia v Netherlands (win)

Monday 23rd June
Netherlands v Chile (defeat)

The Netherlands, finalists last time, are quite likely to exit the tournament at the first hurdle, and the questions about van Gaal and his apparent brilliance will really begin; "Is van Gaal really the man to turn round the fortunes at Old Trafford?" etc.

I am not happy he is a very good coach, even on his own, but compared to Moyes even more...

Might not be a pleasant person to be around but Ferguson was similar. United players know how to behave under a dictator, van Gaal can be similar in that sense and tactically he is lot better than Ferguson was.

With them out of Europe, only 1 important league game a week, would be hardly surprising if they are top3 next season especially if they just can sign half of the players that are in the rumours...
They spent a frew years now without buying that real quality CM's (Fellaini lol) I think now they will spend big on it, Kroos, Strootman, maybe both, we we wont hear jokes like Moyes did last summer "why sign anyone these are the Champions of the country" then 6 month later he said "we need to sign at least 6-7 new players".
:DD

Van Gaal will sort them out, and probably leave behind a very good basic to the new manager after him 2 or 3 years later. That happened with Bayern too.

He will fallout with some players and maybe even attacks the Glazers at some point:D, but that doesnt take the fact he is a huge improvement for them after Moyes.

i dont even worry about United anymore. i worry more when we have to play Sunderland.

The further Holland go in the WC the better, that way he has less to to realise how shit the united squad is. Having said that, I can see them going out at the group stage

But of course. They are entitled. This season was never gonna be a major Rag effort with Wee Davey in charge and no squad to play with. Written off after the 4-1 walloping!! NOW, though!! They have Big Louis! The final jigsaw in the puzzle! Game's up, CFC, you Gooners, Dippers and sky blues. Louis will add bone to the Rags. Never will we have seen such a Bone and Rag outfit since Steptoe and Son.
