It still scares the crap out of me how many posters in the summer over in the Van Persie thread were begging the club not to sign this guy.

Apparently he wasn't what we needed, he was over rated, only had a fluke one off season and was just going to be injured all year.

For the record, I think we'd be comfortably top right now if we got him. Absolute top player.

I'm still glad we didn't sign him. He's a cünt and I don't want them in our team.

It was all paper talk anyway. We've got five strikers already. I don't think we were ever in for him. We certainly never made a bid. After the way Mario played against Germany in the Euros it was looking good for him with City and at 22 he could have a good few years with us. Tévez back with us was like a new signing too. So why would we have signed a sixth striker?

Why did we all love it so much when Adebayor pushed his studs in his face? Because he's a cünt!

He's obviously a good player but he's constantly got his elbows (of a well disguised straight arm) in the face of his opponents and makes it look like he's reaching our to feel where his opponent is. Plus he always celebrates by running to the oppositions fans. That's why we loved it when Ade put his studs in his face.
