VAR is not great by a far stretch, but it’s defiantly the way forward after the debacle of refs decisions in the last few seasons before VAR

Are you mental? When did they stop getting penalties for that shit? Mane got at least two last year one to win the game versus Leicester. Honestly you are yet to present any meaningful defence of a system that has failed. It was meant to eradicate controversy it exacerbated it. Seasons before a ref and lino wouldn’t have a clue on decisions, they were literally guessing at times, and this was accepted ?! No it wasn’t. MOTD every week was centred on the crazy refs decisions.
VAR has got loads wrong but often than not they are made on the most marginal of ways, there has been occasions VAR has got it very wrong but with VAR it always has a chance to improve , one man and a couple of linos couldn’t anymore, the speed and cheating of the game was getting farcical.

by now without VAR I reckon we’d have about 10-15 this season by cheating fuckers diving in the box. VAR has cut that right out.

if this game had VAR it would 100% of been given.
as I’ve alluded too earlier, VAR has made some bad errors and it’s implementation has not been great, but the big difference is it will always improve - it gives me hope that blatant dives and goals well offside will not be given , like they were at a ridiculous rate with a ref.
don’t have to call me deluded for wanting a system that gives help to referees. It’s been needed for a long time.
