Pre VAR refs got 98% of decisions rightIt’s where we disagree. Human error was NOT acceptable - it’s the reason VAR has been introduced, refs were getting so much wrong it was beyond a joke.
I always gave the ref the benefit of the doubt, the speed of the game is now so fast and players learnt the craft of cheating etc.
so, you can’t give any examples of ‘clear’ diving and a pen decision being given this season
And you can’t give an example of a clear’ offside goal standing.
now I agree it’s early in the season, but for me that’s a promising start , I’d say in the last 10 years before VAR we would have had loads of penalty dives and loads of offside goals standing by now. But let’s keep an eye on this shall we ...
And if there is still very very few If any at all diving penalty’s given and offside goals standing, will you then see the benefit of VAR ? I suspect not.
