fair enough, but it’s in its 2nd year, implementation will improve. Not that anyone will notice, one mistake and all hell breaks loose.
Yet the same referees you claim need help continue to make mistakes with it. How will it improve? It’s sill a human who makes the decision surely you see that?

the difference is , it’s a few humans who can see every angle and watch on replays to help the referee, not just one human 60 yards away chasing play expecting to give the right decision

If there is a goal clearly offside. VAR will chalk it off. Officials before were giving them.

if there is a blatant dive. VAR will not give a penalty. Officials before were giving them.

if there is a blatant handball. VAR will spot this. Officials before didn’t.

that is how it’s improved the game. (I’m sure there’s a few examples against the above , but overall the above is about right)

With ridiculously tight marginal calls is where VAR has struggled as there’s still some grey areas in football, but over time they will be ironed out.

it’s just my opinion. And by the way , I’d be more than happy to scrap VAR to go back to the old reffing system if everyone accepted human error - but they don’t.

One Salah dive to win a penalty and it will be back to ‘corruption’ ‘the refs a cheat’ ‘if only we had VAR...’

But most of your post isn’t true!! It is allowing blatant dives and they’re getting easy offsides wrong AND calling offsides where there is no clear and obvious way to decide so they’re just guessing as any ref did. People did accept human error. You defend VaR but go back to the old way??? Of course you would cos you know it’s shit and isn’t effective

Can you give me a few examples so far this season where a player has blatantly dived and won a penalty ?

Can you give me a few examples so far this season where a player has scored miles offside and it’s been given ?

Because the season before VAR was introduced I can give you tonnes of the above.

The offside tech isn’t good enough to be accurate

They are trawling through moves to find reasons not to give goals

The subjective penalty and violent conduct calls are still subjective

This weekend we saw a game that was finished re-started!

unlike every other sport decision making isn’t transparent and open

it has killed the spontaneous joy of celebrating a goal

it’s bobbins

Last season I can give you tons pretty much any involving Fernades or Mane This season is 3 weeks old I can point to huge inconsistency in what is a ‘dive’ Sterling pen not given against Leicester but all of Leicester’s pens awarded for similar soft contacts. Brighton’s pen foul by Pogba overturned. You’ve yet to explain the two incidents in the game Monday between Liverpool and Arsenal. Can you explain the incidents at Anfield in our game last year? The issue is this when there was no VAR human error WAS acceptable might not have been popular but acceptable. Now we have VAR it can’t be acceptable as the system shouldn’t fail but it does therefore it is pointless and can be manipulated in ways never before possible. End of.

VAR or No VAR I don’t care, what I do care about is corruption & clearly decisions differ depending on who commits the offence.

The manipulation by pundits & commentators is to control the message after the decision.

It’s where we disagree. Human error was NOT acceptable - it’s the reason VAR has been introduced, refs were getting so much wrong it was beyond a joke.
I always gave the ref the benefit of the doubt, the speed of the game is now so fast and players learnt the craft of cheating etc.

so, you can’t give any examples of ‘clear’ diving and a pen decision being given this season

And you can’t give an example of a clear’ offside goal standing.

now I agree it’s early in the season, but for me that’s a promising start , I’d say in the last 10 years before VAR we would have had loads of penalty dives and loads of offside goals standing by now. But let’s keep an eye on this shall we ...

And if there is still very very few If any at all diving penalty’s given and offside goals standing, will you then see the benefit of VAR ? I suspect not.
