About time VAR was put to a vote of all season card holders in football , because it was/is killing the passion of celebrating a goal , the dozy refs are still making the same mistakes its just moved to Stockley Park , VAR needs f*cking off altogether

I am 60 and I dont understand what a penalty is.

Foden standing foot is clearly taken out by a lunge by the keeper. Everyone apart from the ref and the refs in the shed can see that.

But again the refs dont have to explain how they missed it. Ok match ref might miss it. But how can the VAR ref miss it, how ?
The only reason you can come up with is it fucking bent. Sadly

Well, the explanation that the VAR shed wallahs missed it just doesn't wash. No contact on the ball, no deviation of the ball from Foden knocking it past and he is tackled on his foot. Clear and blatant trip. I wonder whether Old Mother Riley would say no pen or come out like he did some seasons back and tell us three games on that Silva was fouled and it should have been a penalty! I let Moss slide back into his cubicle at Henshaws, but those in the VAR shed have no excuse! Cheats!

VAR is meant to clear up the shite the ref produces. If the blind bat didn't see it, then it was as clear as fuckin' day to VAR. How can VAR get such a decision wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Every time.

That was a clear and obvious error by the fat blob. If var don't correct it there is no point in having it. You have defended it time after time in here quoting examples of how good it is. That was a wanker backing his fat mate up. Nothing else. So if they are not professional and honest there is no point in it

Without sounding like a massive apologist’ , it doesn’t get it wrong every time. Many goals/pens have correctly been given because of Var and because a ref has had a chance of seeing the decision.

However I’m as perplexed as you when a decision like that is not given. It’s just laughable. Could just say it’s ‘corruption’ but why would they make it so blatant. Why not scrap var and refs can just not give a penalty anyway.

I’m no conspiracy theorist, but there is no error there. Literally impossible to get that wrong with all the replays they had.

so if the var team looked at that and gave the penalty would you agree it’s good we have a system in place to get the correct decision ? Because the ref didn’t view it as a penalty.

we can scrap var. I’m really not fussed anymore.
but it’s a joke that even more decisions like that would not be given as a penalty.

Refs on the pitch on their own simply can not give clear and correct decisions and it’s farcical. And when var don’t even give a correct decision. It’s even more farcical.

as I’ve said from day 1. I would like a system in place to help Refs get clear decisions correct. I think that’s what most people would want
