When I see some of the shite that has masqueraded as 'penalties' over the last few seasons that refs deemed as infringements, and latterly confirmed by VAR, i cannot think of a single reason why that tackle by the Soton goalie was not called as a pen. What exactly was VAR looking at? Does it not have the best view available? And if it is just a case of administering the LotG as they are written it cannot conclude anything but a penalty. VAR has not delivered what it was meant to deliver. And having seen Jonny over the last few seasons I will wager that the next game he refs he'll be pointing to the spot and sending the goalie off 'cos he's seen a blatant pen and a goal scoring opportunity for a very similar incident to tonight's!Without sounding like a massive apologist’ , it doesn’t get it wrong every time. They had a chance to keep the title race open so they decided no penalty. Because we are too good it will be forgotten.... I will remember though. Corrupt.Sheer and utter corruption in plain sight that will be swept under the carpet.
I’m no conspiracy theorist, but there is no error there. Literally impossible to get that wrong with all the replays they had.

This is how VAR is now being used, and is delivered to football fans with the brassiest of brass necks and two fingers waved in front of the viewing public. How anybody who has a vested interest in promoting the sport - PiGMOL, The FArce, or the PL - can be gloriously happy with the shite it's delivering is beyond the comprehension of most fair minded fans.I was looking forward to VAR.
