We've been here before..

How many people were surveyed?

Did you get asked?, I didn't..

1,396 footie fans. It’s a youguv poll and there was a lot of negative findings for VAR aswell. But I think that’s about right, most want VAR but want it implemented better.

1 Fans were unhappy because the Refs favoured Man Utd, Liverpool etc
2 Fans were unhappy because the Refs favoured Man Utd, Liverpool etc
3 Fans were unhappy because the Refs favoured Man Utd, Liverpool etc
4 Man City owners were unhappy because the Refs favoured Man Utd, Liverpool etc
5 No, it shouldn't stand.

VAR was meant to put all this right but all it has achieved is an even bigger shit pile of manipulating of the rules, there are examples as long as your arm just from City games alone and plenty of other teams.

How could anybody justify giving Man Utd that penalty against Villa last season with the benefit of watching it on a replay?

The one good thing VAR has achieved is the fact their cheating has become so much more apparent now.

so without VAR the refs favour Man U and Liverpool ... and you want to scrap VAR for err what we had ?

practically every goal that is chalked off by VAR is the correct decision - they are not the rule makers.
Leicester had a goal that was offside yesterday - VAR checked and found it was offside. Normally that would have been given.
It’s getting everything virtually correct.
it’s the laws of the game you should be angry at.

Practically every goal that's chalked off eh..!

Some teams aren't even given the chance to score a goal, never mind have it chalked off..

Newcastle awarded a penalty at Spurs for a Dier handball, they score and gain a point..

City denied a penalty at Leeds at the weekend, if scored would have most probably gained us 2 more points..

VAR not so good there I would suggest..

Would you agree?

Why's that do you think?

Teething issues?

Not enough in it?, even though handball in the area by a defender, no matter how sleight, is a PENALTY..

City on the shitty end of the stick again..!

Would you agree?

Nothing to see here, move along now..!

Look forward to reading your list of 20 positive VAR decisions when I get up for work in the morning..!

See yet again people converse with you and you then just don't read what they have written in the slightest.

1 Please quote the part that states I want to scrap VAR.

2 I also clearly stated that with or without VAR they favour Man Utd and Liverpool.

I then gave you an example of them blatantly cheating and you fail to even acknowledge it but instead, you come back with a little bit of what ? A passive-aggressive smart-arse reply?

Not sure tbh but it certainly goes against what you just said to somebody else a few posts up about willing to have a debate that's for sure.

We can just move right along to the fuck offs now if that is what you wanted?

I fear I have wasted enough of my precious time already tbh so actually, don't bother replying, I made my points fairly clear in the original post, it wasn't hard to understand but you failed spectacularly to do so anyway?

The biggest ever study into VAR, published last month in the Journal of Sports Sciences, found that it raised the accuracy of “match-changing decisions” from 92.1% to 98.3%

The research, based on 2,195 competitive matches across 13 leagues, involved asking a panel of referees to check 9,732 VAR decisions.
Around 5% of those were in the grey zone – in which more than one decision could be supported. But even taking that into account, the academics found that the chances of getting it right “were significantly higher when a decision was taken with the use of the VAR, compared to the initial decision made without the VAR”.

There was something else. Remember the apocalyptic warnings about how much the game would slow down when VAR was introduced? On average the researchers found there were only 4.4 checks required per match – while the median time taken when referring to the VAR was 22 seconds

Meanwhile a separate study published in July, which looked at whether VAR had changed the way football was played in La Liga during the 2018-19 season found it had “hardly any effect”. Unsurprisingly the biggest difference was that matches where VAR was used featured more goals and went on a little bit longer.

1. I just presumed everyone on here wants VAR scraped, apologies and also pleased that I seem to have got that wrong. So you want to keep VAR correct ?

2. Why them two clubs ? Honest question and not trying to be a smart arse - but why do the ‘powers’ pay refs ? To ensure Man U and Liverpool get favourable decisions. On hammers forum they say Spurs get all the favourable decisions ... I’m sure Man U and Liverpool fans will say other clubs get favourable decisions.

1033 fans then..

Not really enough of a sample to pro rata the findings I would suggest and project 7 out of 10 fans are in favour of how VAR is being used..

Hundreds and hundreds of thousands of fans attend PL games each season and VAR is to be accepted because approximately 12 bus loads of supporters, all sat down on the buses btw, no one standing, have voted it to be acceptable..

You carry on and keep telling everyone how brilliant VAR is and I'll skip over your posts, it'll save a bit of eyesight wear..!

Don't forget to post your top 20 positive VAR decisions..!
