imagine the uproar when VAR is scrapped and Salah does a ridiculous dive and the referee gives a penalty .... or Mane is 2 foot offside and the goal is given ...
The calls for VAR to come back would be deafening.

We are where we are. I want it to stay and improve personally and I think it will.
So the tech to fill in the missing 2% of incorrect ref decisions which still isn’t getting big decisions right, is technically flawed, is applied in secret, is causing at least as many arguments as the system before it, has taken away the joy of celebrating goals and which you admit has been badly implemented nhenerally should carry on? Ok

Grow up..!

I'll save you some time typing your reply into the night by finding your first post on the VAR thread, they're all the same..!

If you can’t have a civil debate then it’s you that needs to grow up.

I’m happy to discuss the pros and cons with VAR and have a proper discussion without getting abusive.

I’m critical of VAR, and if you’ve read my previous posts you will know that. So why label me as some VAR fan boy that’s back myself in a corner.

by the way it was Man City that voted for VAR and wanted it. Man Utd and Chelsea didn’t want it.

I didn’t have a say, I’m just a fan - I was sick of players diving for penalty’s and other ridiculous decisions being given by refs, VAR at times shows how laughably bad some refs get it wrong.

if you don’t want to hear my honest pretty balanced views then don’t goad me and be rude.

If fans were so happy pre VAR then we wouldn’t have got it.

Fans were not happy with refs, we have short memory’s - every MOTD game talking point was about poor refs decisions.

every ref that gave a wrong decision was accused of corruption, taking brown envelopes etc

Something eventually had to give and Man City and vast majority of clubs voted for VAR.

West Ham scored 3 against Leicester and 4 against wolves, I celebrated each and every one, nothing taken away.
is it a killer when VAR is checking. Yes.
If we’ve scored a goal which shouldn’t have stood - is it right that the goal shouldn’t stand. Yes.

Go on then..!

Off the top of my head, I listed 20 shit VAR decisions..

Let's have your list of, say 20 good decisions VAR has made..

You can't have 19 Salah dives and 1 miles offside decision being called correct.. (That'll be you ****** then!)

In fact I'm wracking my brains regarding all these miles offside decisions that were missed prior to VAR being wheeled in that you keep banging on about!

Walker when he played for Spurs v us (of course it was against us) and the dipper one v West Ham..

Not really near the amount you suggest VAR has cleared up..

Google's your friend, knock yourself out..!

Worth a reminder.

It’s not me that’s in the minority.

according to YouGov poll.
The survey, published
  • 74 per cent say keep using VAR, but change the ways it is used.

practically every goal that is chalked off by VAR is the correct decision - they are not the rule makers.
Leicester had a goal that was offside yesterday - VAR checked and found it was offside. Normally that would have been given.
It’s getting everything virtually correct.
it’s the laws of the game you should be angry at.

1 Fans were unhappy because the Refs favoured Man Utd, Liverpool etc

4 Man City owners were unhappy because the Refs favoured Man Utd, Liverpool etc
5 No, it shouldn't stand.

VAR was meant to put all this right but all it has achieved is an even bigger shit pile of manipulating of the rules, there are examples as long as your arm just from City games alone and plenty of other teams.

How could anybody justify giving Man Utd that penalty against Villa last season with the benefit of watching it on a replay?

The one good thing VAR has achieved is the fact their cheating has become so much more apparent now.

We've been here before..

How many people were surveyed?

Did you get asked?, I didn't..
