Richard Scudamore himself said; "Without being disrespectful to any club, we have a strategic plan at the Premier League and the strategic plan says putting a new name on the trophy in every six-year period".

so since that comment why have they chosen Man City to win it the most ? and Man Utd not to win it.

will bring this up again -

The biggest ever study into VAR, published last monthin the Journal of Sports Sciences, found that it raised the accuracy of “match-changing decisions” from 92.1% to 98.3%

The research, based on 2,195 competitive matches across 13 leagues, involved asking a panel of referees to check 9,732 VAR decisions.

It just doesn’t feel like when there is a mistake as we RIGHTLY expect VAR to be flawless - it still isn’t. But it’s a lot better than a referee making a blind guess with no help.

Again, I’ve no problem with people hating VAR and wanting to scrap it - that’s totally there right to have that opinion

And once again I'll point out the research that, pre VAR, decision making was 98% accurate. The point I'm afraid you are repeatedly missing is that VAR or no VAR mistakes will be made. The volume of those mistakes, under either system, is actually minimal. However - only one of those systems though takes ages, takes away the pure joy of football, slows the game down, supplies differing levels of context for match going and non match going fans, and is done with none of the transparency that accompanies it in other sports.

There's simply no way on 'CLEAR AND OBVIOUS' decisions the level making is the same

pre VAR , a player would often score well offside.... That does not happen now... it is the tightest of all margins when VAR is in use to determine if a player was offside

pre VAR , a player would clearly dive in the box.... That does not happen now... the player would be booked for diving

pre VAR, a elbow in the face, a leg breaking tackle would be missed by refs.... VAR picks up on this now.

there's major differences on situations which are clear and obvious and that's a massive help towards the transparency of the game.

very very tight marginal decisions is where VAR struggles as it can be interpreted differently by different officials...in time it will improve.

I don't know where to start with that. Offside has been some improvement but as I've said repeatedly and you won't acknowledge, on the fine margin ones the tech isn't good enough so actually may be disallowing good goals.

Diving. You must be joking if you think VAR has sorted that!

Elbows and leg breaking tackles. Mane elbowed someone last week, Luke Shaw could have broke the spurs guy's leg easily last week too

There is no major difference.

Salah offside last season......

Salah offside last season......

Salah/Liverpool offside loads more in seasons before
Salah/Liverpool blatant dives loads more in seasons before.

On the point of foul play ... what if without VAR Mark Noble punches Aguero straight in the face ... the ref is watching play and misses it. You think that’s alright then ? Just have to play on ? And after the game punish him ?

You would think it would by now right, if VAR was used in the Prem to favour Man Utd... think how many people would actually have to be involved... it would have come out... but it hasn't and let's face it, never will.

You still on here..?

The answer to your question is 'not many'

Football is a multi billion pound industry.

The most popular clubs at this moment in time, the ones with the biggest worldwide appeal are the dippers and rags..

Do you think SKY and BT who have invested billions in the game would want Aston Villa, Wolves, West Ham or Leeds to win the league..?

Would they fcuk..!

Do you think they'd leave it to chance to ensure these 2 teams stand on their own 2 feet and compete with the rest of the teams in the PL..?

Not a fucking chance..!

Scudamore said, we have a plan in place to deliver multiple PL winners..

Chelsea, Leicester, us, and the dippers have all won it recently..

Ahh but what about Leicester I hear you say..

Leicester are backed by a billionaire far east owner which is smack bang in the middle of a massive armchair fan base..

Scudamore gets his wish, the PL investors get a shit load of new subscribers and the gravy train rolls on..

If you cannot see the leg up both the dippers and rags got last season regarding how they were refereed by VAR then your are, as has been previously pointed out on here, fkin clueless..!

The rags are on their arse and would have quite probably imploded if they hadn't made top 4..

No millions and millions of pounds revenue from the CL and no adidas money..

They did qualify though, with the aid of the most penalties ever given out in PL history over the shortest period of time..

What a fkin stroke of luck that was for them I'm sure you'd agree..!

It's as plain as the nose on your face what's going on..

I suggest you pop back into off topic where you think you are part of the furniture on here, what a laugh that statement is btw.. and leave the football talk to the grown-ups..

Nobody is saying VAR hasn't picked up things that were previously missed. What people are saying is that VAR isn't the panacea it was promised to be, and the game is still open to corruption.

Been talking to a few fans of other clubs this week, they want VAR gone, some of them saying they can understand the odd one or two offside incidents slipping through the net ,but see other incidents like penalty decisions that are blatant and can’t understand why VAR isn’t calling them out ..

Sorry bud, you must have been on Mars last year. Virtually every scouser game last season was graced by a fosbury flop by Mane or Salah.

As for offside, suggest you watch our game at Anfield. Although you will wait and wait for a replay of their second goal and wonder why none was shown.
