Var debate 2019/20

Scousers who are massive cheats will stop Practising diving so much next season and instead focus on kicking the ball at the defenders arms to get a penalty.

Just watch the number of pens they get next season for blasting the ball at the opposition arm from 3 yards and surrounding the ref shouting var.

I was pro VAR but with each passing game i change my mind, the handball rule change is going to kill the prem next season,it'll be one long kicking the ball at the defender to get a pen,no beautiful football except us
We have been done over twice in the CL,this tells me that VAR can be used to manipulate the games,i'm out for now
Finally..

How is yesterdays handball a penalty but when Llorente uses his hand to score it is considered a fair goal. This is the second time in a row we were robbed from being in the CL semifinals.

This was the first thing that came to my mind yesterday when I saw the replay. Never liked the idea of VAR and now that it’s been introduced it’s proving to be more trouble than it’s worth.

i dont agree with the rule

but it was given because the rule says

handball will be given against a player if their arms extend "beyond a natural silhouette" - even if it is accidental.

The law does not say that at all, plus players run and walk and jump, and it is natural for arms to swing and raise.

If it comes off your body first it won't be hand ball from now on if accidental unless they score or inadvertently control the ball etc

Probably take the law makers a full season of joke decisions before they change handball farce.
Take a look at any still photograph of a football match and you will not see arms glued to the sides .
Arms help players run, balance , stop, change direction.....

How can rule makers not understand this.

I’m not even convinced it actually touched his hand last night. From a couple of angles it looks like it hits his chest, bounces down, whilst his hand moves down and just misses the ball

“Pep’s poor team selection”
Probably won us the PL and FAC 3 consecutive games v Spurs lost the one we could afford to loose more than the others, and only because of a penalty miss by Sergio

Still think he could have selected a better team by not playing Delph at left back and putting an out of form Mahrez on the wing. Evidently we couldn’t afford to lose that game either as it cost us the tie. It’s all hindsight but In my opinion Pep got it wrong on this one occasion

yes it does, and it came into play yesterday

like i said i don't like it, but its why the pen was given

The dick had his arm outstretched, above shoulder height in the penalty area pointing at some imaginary aardvark just next to him in the area. What a twat.

Oh, and his army shouldn't have been that high unless the aardvark was stood up, which I'm not sure they can do?
