Regardless of the fact it was the dirty scummy rags ..... the Martial offside when he went through and the lino flagged ! That looked inside to me so where has this let the play go before flagging! It’s a mess , the refs and Lino’s have less of a clue than last year , if that’s actually possible

It looked a bit manufactured to me. Not enough for VAR to say if was a clear and obvious error because there was contact, but Pogba was looking for that.

He was already in mid flight. If he didn't clip his foot he would have still landed on his face. Yellow card.

MNF GNev has it right just shown a number of replays of the non Rodri pen...Oliver clearly not looking at the incident hes looking the other way , Nev said VAR HAS to overturn his original decision as he hasn't seen it "VAR have to have the bottle to say hang on you need to award a clear pen "

Absolutely zero contact. Carlton was on his way down way before he was anywhere near the defenders leg.

He would have been clean through if he stayed on his feet, but the sh*thouse instinctively chose to cheat.

Sorry, but let’s not got too over the top with it. De Bruyne (rightly) got a foul when there was no contact at the weekend because had he not evaded it, there would have been. This one there was contact too anyway.
It was a penalty, it’s just as simple as that.

In terms of the VAR, them not overturning ours doesn’t mean they should overturn another valid one that has also already been given by the onfield ref, particularly when they’ve said they won’t overturn unless it is very clear. The Rodri one to me absolutely was clear and should have been overturned.

Neville just said the rule needs to be changed before weekend.
The ref in the truck needs to over turn decisions and award pens.
Expect a shit load of penalties this weekend.

Yip he got it spot on,mentioned about they have set the bar to high as in the VAR ref is afraid to overturn the ref on the pitch on incidents like this,he should actually be advising the ref to have a look at the incident on the monitor it’s a clear and obvious mistake...
