Var debate 2019/20

Eh?

Watch the second angle (https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/var-debate-2019-20.339911/page-390#post-12000037).

Absolutely zero contact. Carlton was on his way down way before he was anywhere near the defenders leg.

He would have been clean through if he stayed on his feet, but the sh*thouse instinctively chose to cheat.

Seriously, I’m at a loss how people can’t see the defenders right foot make contact with Pogbas left foot on that vid on the close up.

I don’t think it is THAT badly written, but it IS being both misquoted and misapplied...per the letter of the law they have written!

There was no possession or control of the ball, so anything that subsequently relies on that pretext becomes irrelevant.

It is an “IF, THEN” statement, where the IF didn’t occur, so there cannot be a THEN.

The conditional nature of the law is not being applied. People, mainly uneducated and apparently unwilling to read the ACTUAL LAW INSTEAD OF PARAPHRASING IT, are literally misstating what the law says, because they believe that the new law says ANY HANDBALL THAT RESULTS IN A GOAL IS A HANDBALL...THAT IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE AS WRITTEN IN THE LAW, BECAUSE IT REQUIRES CONTROL/POSSESSION OF THE BALL AS A PRETEXT TO ANY SUBSEQUENT ACTION, and that doesn’t occur!

Pretty much agree with you but, should it be that bloody difficult to understand, explain, apply or even just be informed about whilst sitting in the South Stand?

Neville just said the rule needs to be changed before weekend.
The ref in the truck needs to over turn decisions and award pens.
Expect a shit load of penalties this weekend.
Hmmm.
Doesn't help us get the 2 points back against a team likely to be challenging for the title

I amazed you can't see Pogba was already on his way to the ground before he was anywhere near the defender.

Because he isn’t, he catches his lead leg just as it’s come off the ground. It’s the bit between four and seven seconds on the vid, slow it down and it’s even more obvious. The defender knew himself, he didn’t even try and argue it.

Exactly and there is much more to come.
MNF haven’t even shown the replay of the dive after the game, loads of talk about who should and shouldn’t have taken the penalty but not one single replay of the dive. There’s the cover up.

Then fucking kiddie spitter giving it the fucking bullshit about Rodri’s penalty not being clear and obvious, fuck off you stupid scroaty bias scouse tramp. Let’s hope no one spits in your food one day.

He was caught as he was on his way down. Amazing how they didn't catch Rodri being RKO'd but noticed a slight touch on Pogba's foot.

Pogbad's right leg was the closet leg to the defender, so I'm not sure how he made contact with his leading left leg as he was already on his way down. It was a dive, and if it was given against one of our defenders you'd be fuming.

As for the defenders expression, that was the expression of someone who knew he'd been done and that Pogbad had conned the ref.

It’s on the video you posted! At the four second mark, you can see the defenders right foot come right across and hit Pogbas left foot. His upper body at the point of contact is entirely level to where it was before.

Honestly, slow it down if that helps to see it, it is really clear. I wouldn’t be fuming at all, even Wolves fans aren’t questioning it, just check out a wolves forum.
