Var debate 2019/20

So it’s fear because we can see that City are refereed differently, surely you’re not denying that ?

no..i meant fear that we may get beaten to the title.

But i do take your point and i get it could be fear of being treated differently ......which woud be justifiable.....I just dont see the evidene that we are being treated differently...as someone else posted, there have been 30 odd VAR reviews on penalties and not one of them has been overturned/changed.

Thats shocking, I hadn't seen that, surely he was asked to explain this "plan" or at least the comment?
I'm not sure he ever did clarify exactly what he meant. Pretty shocking thing to say though.

I don't think you can spin "Without being disrespectful to any club, we have a strategic plan at the Premier League and the strategic plan says putting a new name on the trophy in every six-year period" any other way.

I have to admit that is shocking but im wary of believing what is reported as we see it every day in the media who quote managers/players etc out of context....

If he has said that it is shocking as it is disrespectful to EVERY club

Interesting that he is also quoted as that he said he believes there are 17 clubs who can win it...who are the three he believes (despite his earlier sentence) cannot win it.

Its important to also read the second part of his quote for balance

"That doesn't mean we don't want any team to win it. It just means we would rather see some sort of rotation, for all neutrals in the game (what Leicester achieved) was a big moment."

I got to say I have been collecting stats on our games of how many VARs reviews we dont get IE Penalties not given, subjective decisions given against us etc.. I was most surprised to see other teams getting the same tbh (Obvious decisions not being given).

Doesnt mean the bias is not there... in the media, the TV, the pundits, the reporters, fans, everywhere and nearly everyone... You cant deny that is there, and you cant deny that having more "Refs" increases the chance for that bias to manifest, surely.

If that hadnt been given for us everyone on here would go mad.....he was dragging him down. I dont think the Rashford one later on was a penalty but Martial's was blatant.....hands and arms all over him dragging him back......

If you are still denying the Laporte one when even two of our own players indicated it hit his arm then there is literally no point...
The foul on Martial is outside the box. The defender absolutely pulls him, Martial is off balance and he’s still off balance/falling inside the box but the foul itself is outside so can’t ever be a penalty.

When have I ever denied the ball hit Laporte’s arm/hand? I haven’t, I’ve simply said there’s no proof which you among with several other posters and the worlds media couldn’t provide conclusively. VAR in handballs has to have 100% conclusive proof, it’s not a subjective call. There’s a video which makes it look very likely, however there’s nothing 100% definitive. The only fallback is players admitting it afterwards. The decision however isn’t given on what players say otherwise Rooney would have had 6,000,000 penalties a game with the amount of claims that fat granny shagging cünt made.

Simply put if you call the Martial pull a foul, then the pull on Laporte is also a foul and being inside the box prior to the “incorrect” handball decision should have resulted in a penalty to us. But you never say that, it doesn’t suit your narrative, so you try to manipulate and select only the evidence that does suit your narrative, hence why you were called out which you said you would always do to other posters earlier this week.

Oh I absolutely agree with you that there is bias within the media, tv pundits and certainly in the higher govenring bodies of the game as well (UEFA, FA).....and i agree with you...but i dnt believe its within individual ref's minds/orders to disadvantage/cheat us.
