Var debate 2019/20

This is getting a level messier now, we now have two situations where the PL have overuled VAR with decisions. (Silva Goal awarded by dubious goals thus offside and Son Red). How can they stand by VAR now after ripping it apart already & where does it end

An unlikely scenario:

VAR is altered dramatically from next week & Everton get relegated by a single point. They will reflect on the penalty decision against Brighton and have a strong case that only one weekend of the 38, would the Keane tackle have been given due to changes of the rules mid season. Surely they could end up in the Court of Arbitration for Sport
Alternatively, we lose the league to Liverpool by any number of points and look back to the many dubious VAR (in)decisions that went against us and/or for Liverpool.

They have the brass neck to do anything that comes to their tiny minds and it doesn't dawn on them that what they were promoting last week is at odds with what they are attempting to stuff down gullets this week. But it all has a purpose!!

I posted this on the Bravo thread. How on earth is this a foul? Are we enforcing rules where if you get within a few cms of a player, it's a foul now? There's absolutely no excuse for not overturning it and this shows why VAR should be nowhere near football because it has time and time again refused to rectify mistakes as blatant as this.

The Atalanta player does what used to happen decades ago - players jumping over a goalkeeper - but then changes his mind as there might be a better outcome. Frankly, I'd have the bastard for kicking Claudio and simulating a poor hurdle technique.

The Atalanta player shouldv'e been sent off for deliberately kicking Bravo in the head. Fucking joke.

We all remember Messi sticking his foot into the city player ` can not remember his name now` and dragging it into/onto the penalty line, pity the ref forgot the rules when Sterling was fouled initially outside but very much inside the box

just seen the sheff utd VAR and they have got it so wrong again

The talk shite guys went absolutely mad about the decision and also it being a different phase of play.

Never noticed them doing that when we were spurs opponents.

I think when even the fans of the team benefiting from the decision are singing 'fuck VAR' as the Spurs fans were doing this afternoon and we did against Villa a few weeks ago the gig is up. If it takes 3 minutes + to come up with a decision it becomes an absolute joke.

There is so much wrong about this decision. I’ve said loads of times - like cricket - the technology isn’t 100% accurate. That’s why they have umpires call which is half a cricket balls size leeway. Surely this should apply to football now after today. Widen the VAR lines on the pitch to half a yard then only clear and obvious mistakes will be changed. After all, this is what the whallies at the FA said VAR was for at the start of the season.
