Var debate 2019/20

I'm seriously struggling this season, but it might be a similar malaise that the players seem to have. Liverpool have made an excellent start and I just don't think we'll be up for another toe-to-toe this season (definitely not if we don't start getting the right end of tight decisions soon). The upside might be that if we look to have dropped out of the title race by Xmas, the players might relax mentally, regain their composure and get their mojo back, allowing Pep to blood some of the youngsters, all in preparation for an assault at the back end of the season.

Knowing our luck, the dippers will lose their next three!
Don't get me wrong,we have a whole host of probs in the team this year, injuries, can they keep up the intensity for another season, probably not,if we were varred according to their own rules we would have at least a few more points, the players look frustrated,it must be difficult for them to shrug it off during a game and keep going,if it was possible to look at all of the decisions they have got next to the ones we haven't got not a single person except trolls would be able to deny the help they are getting,it's very depressing,i like your plan,in a way the sooner we forget the title the easier it would be to stay with the game and blood the kids

I thought the same but I think Utd and Spurs still need a helping hand until xmas so i expect it to go quiet for the next round of fixtures then pipe up again.

We will be beating a team 3/4 nil and get a dodgy pen or offside goal that VAR should have given, so they can say "it all evens itself out at the end of the day...". Ignoring the fact our game was already won.[/QUOTE

I agree . They might be cnuts but they are crafty cnuts.

why doesnt the greatest league in the world, start getting the greatest refs in the world, go and pillage la liga and the bundesliga etc for quality refs and pa

From the very first game when they used us as the lab rats and used the tech as anally as poss i knew we were not going to be allowed to win the title 3yrs running, pep said after if we win the title it would be his biggest achievement and we don't get anything handed to us,we have achieved everything on our own, from now on i have no hope,i an just going to watch and try and enjoy our football
What is really sinister is the length of time they seem to take to rule a goal/penalty in or out in some cases compared to yesterday when
the check if there was one appears almost instantaneous. However, it was bad reffing yesterday which failed to award a penalty before the first goal. It may have been overturned
because of the ball touching Bernardo but the real damage was done by not halting play. It is extremely frustrating that the introduction of VAR has made things far worse and in many ways is accentuating the negative effect of poor on pitch decision making rather than redressing it.

The refs are doing fine , delivering the results the premier league require to make maximum revenue , just what VAR was invented for.
