Var debate 2019/20

The media are worried about upsetting the favoured two , and their access to the clubs .
It's incredible that not a single person involved in football or writing about football is even asking the question or explaining, perhaps we should accidently break our screen and say dave the electrician can't fix it till the summer and see the fuss

This all day long !! I’m exactly the same ! How many VAR replays have actually been shown in the ground ? I can’t even remember one ! Shite

I think the word you were searching for is NONE.

How would the dippers or rags show it on their non-existant screens ?

Watching the news and they have just said it's changing over the festive period, more info will be given on the screens, the info that was promised months ago..except at the rags and dippers because they don't have screens,i have not heard anyone say why they do not have to have screens, the other old grounds in the prem have screens,it's 2019,tech can be put in anywhere, why are nobody at pigmol explaining this and why aren't the journo's asking, can the people who say that there is nothing untowards going on explain it please

Why don't we have ours taken out then, because it doesn't benefit us anyway does it. See what the FA say about that

We would be fined for failing to operate a " working system " - quote Dermot Gallagher .

Why should Dave take the blame, works at mates rates and a couple of pints, leave him alone ;-)

In a non-corrupt system like that used in rugby, the dialogue between the referee and the VAR operator is clearly heard by the spectators .

Now why would PIGMOL not want a similar system you may ask ?
Agree about the rugby.
In one of the England Rugby World Cup games v either The Aussie's or New Zealand.
A try was reviewed could hear the conversation between ref and the TMO.
TMO said no forward pass and try ok
But ref checked it himself and saw it was a forward pass so disallowed the try.
All was clearly explained and I think shown in the ground.

I watched the City-Utd game. I’m not sure what decisions were wrong. The only debatable one was the handball at the end of the first half but the rules state it isn’t handball in that sort of incident when a player has his hand going to ground in order to not hurt himself.

Why did that game make you feel like it’s working against you?

There is a general feeling among City fans that the explanation from the PL that you have given here about players putting their hands down will be looked at differently in other games involving other teams. We have seen the Van Dijk penal offence on Calvert-Lewin to be identical to the one for which Sissoko was penalised. One given, the other not - Identical situations except for different feet. Stepping on someone's foot and tripping them is a penal offence. We had one on Silva earlier in the season that even Old Mother Riley came out and said was a VAR mistake in not being awarded. As you say, the law re that kind of offence when a defender falls over and the ball hits their arm will not be interpreted across the PL in an identical manner. The ref on VAR duty at Stockley will interpret that differently next week! If it ends up as a pen next week, why not a pen last week!
