Twitter, sorry, "x" is awash with incredulity at the decision.
CLEAR AND ORGANISEDBLATANT AND CORRUPT
If you believe it evens itself out over a season, then presumably it also evens itself out over many seasons. But think about our games against the rags. How many dodgy decisions have they had from VAR? And then how many dodgy decisions have we had from VAR? The best we can ever hope for against them is fair refereeing. And occasionally we get it. But when it's dodgy, it's only ever dodgy one way.I just don't buy it evens itself over the season. I am sounding like I am conspiracy nut but decsions like that make you question the whole decsison making process.
Of course it should. But if you are going to cheat you will do it with or without Var. Everyone could see that was a clear penalty. Where is the media outcry that our beloved game is being fucking manipulated.VAR should have stepped in. That was a penalty. If it was united on the end of that it would have been given without any questions. On the other hand the officials did get injury time correct and Wolves had their chances.
Offside SHOULD me measured when they body part (foot, leg, head, torso) first touches tge ball - they changed the rules for TV a few years back, so the image is actually wrong. The lfc review took ages. Eiother whilst they found a way of letting it go. Or it was closer than we think. Now sure that picture is correct either... The ball has left his foot.
Absolutely. A dodgy decision can now be implemented anonymously from miles away with no real explanation and still shots selected to show what they like. The tech just adds a veneer of respectability and authority to shit like the non penalty tonight.I'd argue that in its current guise, VAR makes it easier to manipulate results.
