VAR Discussion Thread - 2023/24 | PL clubs to vote on whether to scrap VAR (pg413)

Would you want VAR scrapped?

  • Total voters
    293
  • Poll closed .
Wasn’t VAR introduced for ‘clear & obvious’ error correction…. Decisions nowadays do not fall into that category.

It’s taking away so much enjoyment from the game

not one person can defend how VAR is being applied atm, until we have competent officials it isn't a good tool to use and needs removing for the good of the game

… awaits VAR apologists to justify the Calvert-Lewin sending off

These idiots are fucking ruining our game

It’s only there to back up and justify bad ref calls for the majority of the time hiding behind a deliberately obtuse clear and obvious bullshit which is obtuse enough for them to change decision as and when it suits…

Referees must hate all this VAR nonsense. It's making their jobs impossible.
And more disliked, even hated by some.
There is no reason to think an incident like happened in Turkey isn't a bad VAR decission away and some disgruntled fan/player/club official attacking a ref

Apart from our games I can't remember the last time I watched any game.
My love affair with football will finish on the last day this season.
I'm not renewing I'm done with it.
Thanks var
