Would you want VAR scrapped?

Pepe cleaned out of it by Mendy in Afcon.
Pepe booked for diving.
VAR sends ref to monitor and decision reversed and penalty given.
VAR saves ref from a ridiculous decision.

would suspect those in favour of VAR wouldn’t bother to say so for fear of being a ‘wum’ and the onslaught of outrage when Var gets it wrong (which will always happen)

As I’ve repeatedly said, scrap it for all
I care - it won’t make fans any happier. See my examples from West Ham game the other day without VAR , pure outrage over the decisions of the officials.
You can't really be serious about that..so you think mates who sit together at the match would be scared of being called a wum if they wanted var..
Most of the blokes who sit near me wanted var when it was proposed ( me included ) but now we see just how fucking crap it is..
We all know you are a big advocate of var but trust me when I say the vast majority of match going fans I speak to hate it.

Yet someone said today name one thing it does good.

How can they not see the amount of farcical decisions that would have stood had it not been for VAR.

Totally fine for people to not want it, but to deny how many times VAR correctly overturns a farcical decision is just disingenuous.

Yes, I trust you. But that’s all very anecdotal. Your bunch of mates don’t speak for everyone.
I’m a season ticket holder.
I clearly see around me the frustrations of fans when a decision goes to VAR.
Yet when it’s against the opposition they love it.
Fickle game.

I don't think we will ever agree regarding var mate.
We all had high expectations of var ensuring the correct decision would be made but it's all down to who is on var and how they wish to influence the result.
I speak to plenty of fans on the way to and from the game and I have rarely heard anyone in favour of continuing with var and in fact the overwhelming majority would scrap it and go back to knowing if a goal was scored and the referee gave it then it's a goal..not waiting for some twat in a box a couple of hundred miles away doing their upmost to disallow it ( depending on team obviously)

Afcon refs though.

VAR isn't the real problem, the FA, PGMOL and Premier league are, refusal to use automated offside and employing the worst standard of refereees in history means VAR in the English game is not fit for purpose and a hindrence not an asset.

For the number of wrong on-field decisions VAR corrects it's not worth the lack of spontaneity when celebrating a goal.

Our winner last night was a prime example of what VAR has stolen from us.

Like many Blues have said this morning, I didn’t properly celebrate because I knew it would be scrutinised.

Big game, 88th minute, in front of 9,000 City fans, first ever goal at that stadium… yet we all knew in the back of our minds it would have to be checked.
Yep

That is most certainly what you get without VAR.

VAR gives a chance to reduce those refereeing mistakes - it won’t and never will completely eliminate it.

It wasn’t all fine and dandy prior VAR, it was constant outrage about officiating, lots of rose tinted glasses that everyone will be happier if we scrap VAR - check the recent West Ham match v Bristol City when they should have had two clear red cards - our fans outrage and furious VAR isn’t in use.

Obviously it will always go round in circles this debate - I’ll always stick with keeping VAR because it always has room to improve and constantly evolve. It’s not great, it spoils the game at times, it gets things wrongs, it can be slow … I’ve highlighted the negatives of VAR over and over and over and happy to continue so.
what level of error reduction would you be happy with ?
Outraged fans should not mean the game should be changed.
