Our biggest problem is that our refs are awful and that includes the VAR. Did we have any at the WC? More training required and accountability so each one has an incentive to improve.
Public scoring of refs performance by the assessors would help.

I’ve just voted no in the poll but with the caveat that it needs to change.
•new offside tech.
• refs and VAR room audio played live on big screens and on TV
ALL replays played at normal speed, slow motion makes absolutely everything look worse than in real time. (Except birds in bikini’s running)

This needs to happen for the transparency and to stop all the ridiculous conspiracy theories.

Of all the world-wide sports which operate some form of video assistance it's only football, and my experience of VAR only applies to the Englsih game, which seems to have made a complete buggeration of it. And I think that has been down to keeping the system cloaked in smoke 'n mist. Had they had a transparent system from Day One where everyone, whether in the stadia or at home in front of the telly, were privvy to the deliberations we wouldn't be in the situation where clubs are debating whether to maintain it or bin it! It is a clear indictment of how the game is governed and arbitrated - extremely badly.

VAR is even responsible for the stupid stupid lino not raising his flag. Its just another example of how VAR has changed the whole game. Its not even about the amount of incorrect decisions that still happen, its about how its changed the game.

Take it out, fix it, let the ref ref and give him the ability to use VAR.
