I always wonder what would have happened to the Scouser CL quarter if there was VAR. If VAR worked properly, I say we win the tie. But the more likely scenario is:
- 1st leg Salah offside goal: VAR not working - goal given
- Jesus disallowed goal: crooked lines - goal still not given
- Sterling penalty: deemed a dive and accidental handball by Robertson - no penalty
- 2nd leg: Milner handball - too close to the shot - not given
- Sane disallowed goal: VAR obscured by Scouse defender fat arses - still not given
- Firminho 2nd yellow on KDB: ignored (like Tierney/Milner couple of seasons ago)

If all those decisions were corrected by VAR, 1-5 becomes 5-3 (since presumably Firminho's equalizer at Etihad doesnt happen as he is off the pitch). Plus all the momentum shifts we were denied by the cheats in black.

My blood still boils almost 6 years on from that tie. That was our champion Centurions team and if any team deserved to play in a CL final it was them.

The Sane goal was the killer for me because leaving aside all the stuff from the first leg if that stands we are still in with a big shout. Fuck you put me in a bad mood now thinking of that!

Back when they had assistants stood behind the goal line who decided to stay out of it in this case.

Grass is always greener. And memories are short.

Fans of every league that has VAR, yearn for the good old days before it.

Fans of every league that hasn’t VAR, acknowledge it’s shit but want it anyway because they think it’s not as shit as what they currently have.
the west ham first goal they kept saying but var would rule it out but they only say or do that responce for cartel clubs
if arsenal had scored it then it would be arwell thats the way it goes great to see goals scored

If the officials came to the right decisions, at H/T in 2nd leg, we would have been at least 4-2 up on aggregate, with 2 away goals.

I have just heard a new get out word to do us. On Sky football "inconclusive" was used repeatedly, they had the chances to rule the Magpies goal out and took four and a half minutes to rule it to be legal. If any body does not know what I am referring to, the VAR cowboys decided that the three incidents in quick succession were inconclusive and allowed the goal to stand. Arsenal were robbed.

Give over.

No way of confirming that the balls out, not offside as ball went backwards or at worse sideways, so only call was foul or not and for me not.

Have you heard the word "inconclusive" used in quick succession. My point is it will be easy for that to be used when ever they want. Lets wait and see.

Have you see a pattern of play with three incidents, that all had to be looked at, all occurred in side one minute. As inchy14 says above no way of determining. Arsenal weren’t robbed and how Havertz wasnt sent off I don’t know

I did not mention Havertz but I agree he should have been on his way. There was nothing inconclusive about that assault.
