The final view had Haaland’s forearm beyond the furthest forward point of the ball, but his knee “just” behind it.Because it took so long. It was either down to the human side and them being really slower than average processing it or a communication or tech failure that added an extra delay.
Just thinking about it now and I wonder if the camera angle they pull the calibrated lines up to measure offside was one where the ball was hidden by Gvaridol and that caused problems.
If they had this view then just stick the crosshairs on Haaland's knee or shoulder and then measure the furthest point of the ball as if it was Madrid player playing him on or off.
If they were using a camera angle from the otherside of the pitch though where the ball would have been obscured then we get a longer wait while they figure it out.

I’ve said it a million times, yo no avail, but the offside rule should relate to feet…players feet. Draw the line from the furthest back part of a defenders foot and if the attackers foot is not beyond that line, he’s onside!
All this leaning and trying to decide “sleeve or arm?” is ridiculous. Using feet gives the attacker moving forward an advantage and the defender trying to play him offside a disadvantage, which I like.
Lastly, if it’s a stone cold offside, just put your flag up, FFS, before someone gets really injured!
