VAR impact and consequence log - game 27

The Liverpool VAR decision was correct. Lovren was pushed. The Sterling goal made no difference.

The Anfield officiating was hard to accept, and shouldn't be accepted but I prefer defiance to fatalism. If Liverpool lose Salah then they will be derailed, and the Palace game showed that. They really were very fortunate to win that.

A chink of light is opening up. So far it's City who have been hounded by injury, but Salah's injury problems pushes the door open for us.
Sorry but it’s corrupt, can’t see one valid reason why I should stump up over £800 next season. Games are being decided by faceless shit heads , no explanation being given , it’s corrupt to the core , after forty years as a season ticket holder they can stick it where the sun don’t shine .

Give over Marv, it should never have resulted in the Palace goal being chalked off, the push was nothing to do with the “goal” and as said in other comments if you look hard enough you’ll be able to find a push or pull on every goal that is scored in the box from a free kick or a corner. It’s bollocks and never in a million years would that goal have got chalked off if the other way round.

VVD goes into a Palace defender for the winner yesterday and he falls over yet no foul or VAR check to chalk it off.

Its fucking blatant the cheating that is going on.

If one is a free kick and no goal then so is the other except we all know why it isn't!

Tammy Abraham looked offside for the initial through ball yesterday and even though Kante was the one to get to it, Abraham then went on to nudge Fernandinho as he's racing back, OFFSIDE?????????

What's the score of our negative VAR decisions against the diipers positive ones?

Exactly this. Only a mere 36 years for me but the 4 of us who travel together are all done.

Thought the nudge on Fernandino was totally ignored everywhere, if he wasn't impeded could he have cleared the ball, probably not, but Palace have a goal chalked off because of a push on a Liverpool player who wouldn't have actually affected the play any way.
That nudge on Fernandino was a foul that everybody missed , i commented it to a mate and he didnt even know what i was talking about and he was watching the game same as me ! I dont think he could have got to the ball to stop it crossing the line ,but he definitely got a shove into the net for his troubles . This seems to be a thing thats cropping up in the last couple of games especially at dippers .where our players are shoved into hoardings or unyielding pitchside furniture that could cause injury.

Won't be the last time you're comments are utter nonsense. VAR is consistent in one way only, it looks forensically for reasons to disallow our goals and Liverpool's opponents (with the exception of the Rags). It also looks the other way if there' any element of doubt for Dipper goals/pens.

Even if that goal had stood yesterday I didn’t celebrate anyway so the worst consequence of it is that it’s ruined what is special about football.
