That was excellent, exactly how it should be done, it was good to see him explaining the decisions to the players. I do wonder if the players were so polite and respectful as he was miked up, I think this was a one off thing they did for his last game (I think he referees in the Championship over here now). It was good to see how the interactions between the referee, VAR team and the other officials work too.

The umpires in Aussie Rules are similarly vocal and clear with their decisions.I really really enjoyed that!

I think the problem he will face is being streets ahead where we are now, in his interaction with VAR, but also what he would be shackled with if the FA haven't caught up.

Is this really accurate? I'm a firm believer that VAR has destroyed the game, but if this is true, it's a national scandal.
