VAR in regards to City related incidents.

Thought Pep was excellent with his comments about the offside / handball goal , if that was Klopp , PEG , Pinnochio or the majority of top flight managers they would have been moaning , but he brushed it aside because he knows he has the best squad in the land and little indiscretions from the officials will not stop us winning another title by some margin. Watched the Dippers a couple of times and there is nothing i have seen that should worry us , they will grind out more results because there defence has improved but they have zero creativity in that team.

I think we'll be having the same discussion when VAR is eventually introduced.

All the 50/50 throw ins that go Liverpool's and United's way, all the little things, they won't change.

Do we think yesterday's goal would have been reviewed for example? (If he wasn't offside) the players weren't calling for a handball...

No doubt that the Wolves goal would have been disallowed, the Silva incident may or may not have been given , no doubt that Arsenal would have been given a penalty the other week after Mendy’s rugby tackle and maybe the outcome of the game would have been different. At the moment we don’t have VAR and I still believe you win some and lose some when it comes to contentious decisions

I think it's consistency, lethargy, squad depth and mentality why they'll fail. Certainly not their first XI or tactics.

As was his logic that the goalkeeper continues to make loads of saves, and City continue to miss a load of sitters. And Wolves score a goal in the 93rd minute. The type of logic you can understand maybe.
I prefer to disect what actually happened. THE officials awarded a goal that was CLEARLY offside and a handball, my type of logic.
Or wolves get deflated after the disallowed goal, city score soon after, wolves chase the Equaliser and City end up winning 3-4 mil

But here is the thing. City were dominant and made more chances and had more possession, both before as well as after the handball goal.

Hence the most likely scenario if the handball and penalties were correctly awarded, is to assume everything else happened the same. i.e. at least a draw and very likely 3 City points.

Those saying var will just reinforce the bias towards the media darlings, just remember the footage will be public and clubs will be able to ask how a certain incident was missed as will the media. Hopefully the spotlight will force the refs to clean up

There high press kick and rush tactics will work most of the time , but they have little creativity to break down 10 man defences as proved against Brighton , Keita , Henederson , Wilyd / dutch lad , Milner couldnt thread a needle never mind a decent through ball , but you make good points about lethargy can they play at 100 miles an hour for 9 months ? and their losing mentality will not go away over night.

Precisely, at the moment referees can claim not to have seen an incident or to have made an honest mistake. Much more difficult for the VAR officials to do that. Sure it won't clear up everything, there will still be incidents that are a matter of opinion, but it will stop the obvious errors and make it much more difficult for results to be affected by mistakes from officials. VAR is coming and the fact a few Luddites are opposed to it is irrelevant.
