If v.a.r. was in play, we would have benefitted from the Wolves decision, without a doubt, as it's too much of an infringement to let go.
In other situations, in recent years, the lack of clear guidelines & the fact it's upto interpretation, would mean very few advantages for us, unless the whole of refereeing suddenly becomes unbiased & fair. The rags etc, will be looking to ensure they have a way of influencing that, before supporting v.a.r.
If a day comes where Utd & Liverpool both support it, we should be very very worried about it imo.
For example, I forget which game, but we made a recent 'foul' at a set piece vs somebody, exactly the kind that they were picking and choosing which to give, in the World Cup. They would just give it, as a pen. Then let Smalling off with the same thing, an hour later but give the rags one at the other end. Or disallow an overhead kick by Aguero because Mendy has hold of someone's shirt as the ball comes over.
There is already a system in place to review violent conduct after games, even when yellow cards were given, and of course we have been on the end of that numerous times but others been let off particularly if they wear red.

Also, Cattenburg saw this as a yellow card from 6 yards away.
He is the same sort, as those who will be in the video booth.
If we are to benefit from v.a.r. refereeing has to become neutral.
