VAR (PL introduction 2019)

If VAR can turn yellows into reds, we need it. Players will be less likely to make some of the challenges they’re doing at the moment.

Can anyone offer up a way in which VAR improves the standard of refereeing?

don't like var, however what I would like to see is tackles like the one on sane revisited after the game and a red card given ,i appreciate that doesn't benefit us,but players maybe will be a little more careful.
football imo is about opinions, var takes that away ,slows the game down and confuses the crowds in the stadium.

You don' need to stop the game for a red card let them look at it whilst in play then tell the ref it's a red then send him off at the next break in play.

At least the game was allowed to flow so not to worry. We can’t have the game stopping and starting like it does for erm, corners, throw ins, substitutions, time wasting or injuries.

This is the laughable part of VAR where there are many voices who go one about the flow of the game. Wonder what representations these people have made to FICKFUFA, Uefa, any FA or league as to the blatant timewasting that goes on from the second fucking minute a relegation fodder team stumps up at The Etihad hell bent on hanging on to the 0-0 and the point with which they started the game?

Can’t believe there’s people against it, like completely against it. It will have its faults seeing as it’s new, but games like ours today show why it’s needed. Have to give it a chance, sick of shite officials.
Yep, today's shambles from the officials was the biggest argument yet for introducing VAR at all top flight games. A few things need ironing out but that's what the trials are for.
