Had we had VAR helping referees turn yellows into reds, and even non cards into reds, we’d have spent the best part of a full game, maybe even longer, playing against 9 or 10 men in the last six weeks. We’d have been able to rest more players and cruise through games. Cannot wait for it to be introduced. We’ll come a cropper, occasionally, but it will surely work hugely to our advantage.

I know mate, the VARts are crying about stop/start but every game I’ve ever watched has that element to it. That’s why we have added time for fucks sake, time added on for time lost during play. They can cry all they want because it looks like it’s here to stay.This is the laughable part of VAR where there are many voices who go one about the flow of the game. Wonder what representations these people have made to FICKFUFA, Uefa, any FA or league as to the blatant timewasting that goes on from the second fucking minute a relegation fodder team stumps up at The Etihad hell bent on hanging on to the 0-0 and the point with which they started the game?

I think they've tried to cover too much too quickly with VAR. Should have been introduced in phases. For example, only checking goals for offside to start with and then adding extras to it once everyone's used to the system and comfortable with how it's implemented.
They've made a rod for their own back with the way they've tried to introduce it all in one go as the game clearly isn't ready for it yet and this is putting people off something that should eventually benefit the game when it's implemented correctly.

Said it will be a nightmare and am being proved 100% correct. Bin it now.Absolute nightmare. Will be the end of the game as we know it. Every goal, and I mean every goal will result in bated breath, nobody going last minute crazy, for fear there was some unseen incident MINUTES beforehand.Just like tonight, the game played on for several mins before that pen was reviewed.It will kill the game, kill the celebrating stone dead.

Can anyone offer up a way in which VAR improves the standard of refereeing?
No one gives a toss. But it clearly would improve the shite decisions that are given repeatedly week in week out
