FIFA’s VAR and a fair ref the score could have been anything as Arsenal would have been down to 10 men after Mustafi’s red card and awaiting a penalty at 1-0

next season its no goal by VAR ??? i can see it being a bad apple adding handball and 100s of pens being given and red cards because somebodies back was turned or could not get out of the way or the ball bouncing up ??? FIFA have fucked up big time

It could be done I suppose as they already wear them for tactical analysis. Hawkeye could develop it like they did with goal line tech. GPS lights up or officials watches buzz. Anything than protects the sport from the fixers Is good for me.Its been suggested to use a gps tracking device inserted in players shirts or vests to resolve offside calls, anyone know if this is a possibility?

Your standard GPS sports watch is only accurate to +/-10 metres. Not sure if that applies to sports vests though.

No idea why they don't just change the offside rule to get rid of that "only a part you can score with" and just replace it with where your feet are. Then VAR on offsides would be a piece of piss (other than the dubious "when did it technically leave his foot" element)

there are already some big advances in indoor GPS so I guess there is technology for such stuff.

Referee who make the decisions on var regarding that shirt pull on the chelsea might say its a penalty and some might not what we need it more clarity in the rules on var! Either a pulled shirt is a pen in the box or it isnt should be no grey areas.
last night game shows why VAR is just another tool the bent officials can exploit and not to give a clear pen for chelsea and give offside without playing on knowing it was close and level they say you give the advantage to the player ??? and how on earth did matic stay on the pitch without a 2nd yellow and red card ????
VAR will not work until rules are changed how can it ?? when you bring in something to help the game you also need a overhaul in the rules, lookout and am laughing my ball off right now at the best thing they have come up with next season is every hand ball is hand ball so if it hits your hand or arm is a foul ????
