So we had confirmation today from our game, when the link between referee, 4th official and var match official broke on awarding Jesus'penalty, that the media can hear the audio from the var official. I didn't know that was the case.

One question, why do they need this? Interesting also that they choose not to broadcast the audio, there'd be no foul language from the var room you'd think.

The Plebs don’t need to hear it mate. Everyone else can (Mobray in MOTD now explained the 4th official decision to give an arsenal penalty in some detail) but if you are at the match it’s no biggy

More to the point, after it was taken and scored, why did the ref go to the touchline and spend ages talking to the 4th official?
5 mins between the penalty being awarded and the kick off.
If that had been against the dippers where momentum is everything, the ref would have killed it.

Why can't the referee be micked up like in the NFL to inform us what's going on. It was a joke in the stadium yesterday...also, how anyone at the emirates knew what was going on for the disallowed arsenal goal becoming an Arsenal penalty god knows

OK ta for the explanation but that doesnt excuse the 5 minute shit show.
Last match of the season, we need the win but we are losing 1-0 and playing poorly. We come out for the second half and after 34 seconds get a penalty.......
3 hours later after the ref has had a cup of tea, Neville has told us how great ten haag is and Mrs Mist has phoned to say my teas gone cold, we kick off again.
OK it's an exaggeration but it took 5 minutes to sort nothing out. No Watford player even argued the decsion.

Attacking players will be leaning forward as that is the way they are running defenders usually are facing away from their goal.
