VAR Thread - 2021/22

Var should have 30secs to confirm the on field decision or send to monitor, likewise they should have the same to activate a check that may have been missed, so everyone knows there’s a review at the next break in play. Anything taking longer than 20-30 clearly is obvious

Cavani ran into Ramsey. Ramsey just stood his ground.
The fact there is a clip of Oliver looking right at it, saw Cavani ran straight into the Villa player and Oliver shaking his head saying no foul but then used the incident to rule the goal out is appalling.
They were desperate to find something but Villa were awful ( still the better team) and only have themselves to blame for poor choices and finishing in the final third

The issue I have with VAR is the way the media manipulate what is reported as "Controversial VAR" and what is not

We "benefit" or as better put VAR does its job when we play and for 2 days the media is filled with faux outrage for the plucky underdog that is ARSEnal but when a team in red benefits such as last nights forensic examination by VAR there is a strange deathly hush from the media

Ruined another game tonight

Without VAR last night

Spurs would have had 2 penalty’s in which neither was a penalty

Spurs would have had a goal given which was miles offside

Bowen’s goal was ruled out for offside in which he was onside

I still don’t know how they overrule the rudiger pen but fail to send the twat off. Surely it’s either a foul and denying a goal scoring opportunity, a penalty and yellow, or no foul at all?

And instead of a rip-roaring cup tie we got a dull, boring meh of a game. Might as well watch chess.
