VAR Thread - 2021/22

id like to know what the match commander is. who it is and what exactly is his roll
cause it looks like he contols the temp of decisions and which way it rolls
When Var was being proposed we were told it was a current referee and a TV screen showing the incidents. When it started we were told the same.
Until Foden was taken down in the box and a penalty not given, no one had heard of a match commander.
To this day no one knows what his role and his authority is and perhaps more importantly who he is. The Foden non penalty clearly shows that he has the authority to over rule the referee and yet no one knows who he is. How is that right ?

My monies on Alex Ferguson

It appears to me that the Match Commander, whom we are told typically has no first class refereeing experience however is able to overrule the VAR officials, is there simply to protect the product. The Laws of the Game seem to have feck all to do with it. That's the level to which Sky etc have managed to drag the game down.
I've said it for 2 years, it's all about protecting the product.

I'm keep saying it. The tech works. It's the cunts using it to manipulate outcomes is the problem.

Why aren't the dippers and Rags being punished for not having screens in the stadium. Despite it being a PL requirement?

Oh yeah. It's because the cunts have their puppet master as CEO.
As an aside they are the only 2 clubs who breach the disability seating criteria as well. The dippers built a new stand so had ample opportunity to comply but........ didn't.

And nobody says a word.

Can't remember his role in the officiating team tonight, but Darren England is a self confessed rag fan, with their crest tattoed on his shoulder.... a solid neutral if ever I saw one....

if thats not a red card then we may as well go back to the 70s and allow tackles from behind and 2 footed block tackles
The pair commentating on my thread were insistent straight away that it was not a red, maintained this view even after many replays in slow time and the pundit whoever he was finished by saying it was 'only just a yellow'.
I didn't catch the views of the studio guests but no doubt he held the party line.

I've been trying to find this out for months without success.
Few know and even less care that a tv man is the final arbiter on decisions that affect the game result and even the title. The Redshirts would never make a serious complaint as they are major beneficiaries of the strange decisions.
