No mate, you started with a wrong call about var before mentioning United or agendas. Threw in a bit about Salah half way through.

if that penalty decision was given against City there would many furious and angry that VAR did not overturn the refs decision and calling corruption like Man Utd fans are doing

same for all clubs fanbases.

It’s on the VAR thread as it would have been overturned in the PL, showing that even though the laws of the game are the same, the interpretation can lead to different decisions.

Interesting that you seem to deem UEFA’s interpretation as correct when suggesting it is the PL who have “manipulated” the law, yet agree that the PL‘s interpretation when suggesting it was “very harsh”.

Thats not wrong, it just shows the nuances in play when interpreting the LOTG.
As I understand it, I could be wrong (I have occasionally been, see the spice girl thing in The King and I)
Uefa decide how rules/laws are interpreted. The rest of the european leagues follow what they say. The PL decided not to. I agree that the PL's interpretation is better or at least more sensible but the rags weren't playing in the PL.
Going back to why is it on here, it was a European game therefore whether the PL/var would review it is neither here nor there.
Other than the back pass rule, no one changed any laws for 40 years or more. The Premier league has come along and we change them mid season. It has gone stupid.

I’m not really in disagreement. I just wish either the laws were crystal clear or everybody did the same thing. It’d help everybody enormously.

But then what would we argue about?!

Off to see if I can see the Spice girl faux pas. My memory of them isn’t strong!

Re the spice girl thing, my phone was hacked.

But before you go, when I say manipulated I didn't mean in a corrupt way. I perhaps should have put interpretation.
And yes, give the players and fans more clarity but I've long said, sky dictate and the PL are too soft. See Aguero Adebayor and several other outrageous decisions.

There’ll always be controversial decisions though. They’re shite when they go against you, amazing when they happen for you or against teams you hate.

Then there are the decisions that neutral teams get and they’re the ones we can debate properly on here with fewer blinkers on.

Making such a spice girl faux pas really did scream “Look at me”…

so like pre VAR, Salah does a blatent dive, zero contact and the ref points to the spot - that's the right way to go ? just accept it ?

fair enough honestly if you prefer that, but i'd rather he takes a second look at the monitor and books Salah
You didn't get my gist. I agreed with the previous poster that the ref should decide always. If that means going to the monitor for a second look, so be it. But as long as he decides and no-one else.

Just watched Sampdoria v Milan.

You thought VAR was corrupt in the EPL...

Bent as a nine bob note
