Extract from Law 12: "Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a handball offence, the player is sent off wherever the offence occurs (except a goalkeeper within their penalty area)".

If football had an equivalent of the video replay showing an lbw would have hit the stumps but it’s not out because it didn’t quite hit enough of the stumps, they’d be uproar on a weekly basis amongst football fans.
 
I really like the new offside technology - very quick decisions without needless delay - and the 3D image to back up decisions is excellent too.
 
Clearly designed to favour Man Utd and Liverpool
