Which is why I mentioned the Premier League doing something and being proactive. Sack off Pigmob as it clearly is a useless but self serving organisation.
Why should Pigmob improve ? There is no threat to them.
Let's face it, they have the PL over a barrel at the moment.

Assuming for a moment that there are a whole bunch of referees, better than the ones we have, sat around waiting for the call from the Premier League, there would be a thread on here a million pages long if they directly employed their own officials, all citing a conflict of interests.

PGMOL are effectively an organisation working in and under the instruction of Premier League. What motivation would they have to disband it? You’re really suggesting nothing more than they change the name of it in practice.
Indeed.

I keep bringing up a conversation OliVAR had with Martin Tyler about how he referees matches "to protect the product". And why I feel the premier league is no longer a competition based on spotting integrity. It's based on WWE.

You keep giving reasons why var will never change, pigmob will never change, nothing will ever change.
Do you simply accept the system is fucked and that's it ?

I don’t think I’ve ever said any of those things, let alone said them repeatedly.

What I have been saying consistently since before VAR even came in was that it is never going to eliminate all mistakes. It’s never going to be perfect. It’s about constantly learning from mistakes and hoping to improve how it’s implemented.

I don’t see how sacking all the referees that are considered to be the best available and replacing them with, well I’m not sure who, is going to improve matters.

yep, agreed

Thiago Silva commits handball with Ayew free to rin in on goal...

Extract from Law 12: "Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a handball offence, the player is sent off wherever the offence occurs (except a goalkeeper within their penalty area)".

Atwell on VAR: Yellow!!!

Footballing bodies could do with watching the T20 cricket this morning to see how VAR is professionally implemented, rathe than the secretive and biased pile of shit they serve up.
Agree.

We'll see the total opposite in the arsenal game later.

If football had an equivalent of the video replay showing an lbw would have hit the stumps but it’s not out because it didn’t quite hit enough of the stumps, they’d be uproar on a weekly basis amongst football fans.

I really like the new offside technology - very quick decisions without needless delay - and the 3D image to back up decisions is excellent too.

Clearly designed to favour Man Utd and Liverpool
