VAR thread 2022/23

I've long said that the game is 'organised' for TV viewing. Milners non sending off against us the other season was so we could have an end to end last ten minutes. They don't want the F A cup final to be over after 30 minutes because of a red card. Referees are told and players know they can get away with bad tackles because of it.
Didn't they do the same earlier in the season at OT? Ronaldo (the Savior) came on and with Brighton leading 1-2 they were denied an obvious penalty for a push on Welbeck.

At the other end …. that’s given
There's no question about it. Though VAR has made us question it, doubt it, be confused, believe their interpretation of it.
VAR has allowed them to find stuff, (or ignore it).

With no VAR utd are not getting that penalty!
We're probably not getting our penalty. But
It feels fairer even though that might be wrong.

So let’s get it right….
VAR was bought in so that if the ball hits someone on the finger tips who isn’t looking at it, doesn’t mean it intentionally and doesn’t prevent any chance on goal you can give a penalty as it’s ‘clear and obvious’

Whereas if a player deliberately kicks another player with no attempt to play the ball and prevents the player having a shot on goal inside the area then it’s ‘not clear and obvious’

Also if a player goes in studs up and over the ball on the ankle of another player in a dangerous manner and the ref gives the free kick the wrong way….it still isn’t classed as clear and obvious

The only thing in the FA cup final that was ‘clear and obvious’ was the incompetent (blatant cheating) VAR official
But Because we win it gets ignored again

At last someone who understands the LOTG. Perfectly summed up.
