You’ve described it well and maybe my idea of what constitutes socialism needs looking at (by me, obviously). Perhaps it’s somewhat anachronistic and overly simplistic.It’s more democratic socialism, with limited state ownership but extensive regulation. The Scandinavian countries tend to believe that this is the best way to produce a reasonably fair income distribution whilst not stifling economic growth.
Might be something in it, I suppose, given they always seem to top the happiest places to live polls.
I admire the Swedish system, but wouldn’t describe myself as a socialist.
