Very good news about Nike

So what we want is better quality shirts, for a cheaper price, and Nike to pay us more for the pleasure? Whilst we're all acknowledging that City's shirt sales are much smaller than other top clubs

I, for one, am delighted that the world's top sportswear brand has chosen to snub United and back City. I know it's not in our nature to support global commercialisation, but its the only way we can compete at the highest level and the only way to achieve the club's long term goals. I think the Nike kits have the broadest appeal around the world, especially in the US where our brand could really take off.

Maybe some time in the future we'll be a big enough brand to get better value for money, but I think that for now our current kit deal is bang on

This kind of post irritates me the most on this forum.

QPR gets £9 million and we get £12 million, wouldn't say that our kit deal is bang on..

Ok well how about 'fit for purpose'?

Only registered here today because for some reason I have nothing to do at work. Don't work for City or Nike. Wish I did mate. Just wanted to register my honest thoughts and the reasons I like the kit deal.

Apologies, next time I'll just say "I liked Kappa. Next kit deal should be with Le Coq Sportif"

Totally agree with the comments on here about UA - I bought some of their gear in the US ( pretty cheap) and it's excellent quality.

With Nike binning united we now become after Barca their most important team and their big focus in the biggest league!

If it stays this way it means we will benefit not only in our profile but in signing Nike players, profile in stores especially in the US etc etc - also good leverage to get more money from them as they will be out of united, Liverpool, arsenal and Chelsea for a while

Not exactly very good news considering that the Rags will now get an even better deal and even more money.

It's quality stuff. I wear a lot of it for work and training and it holds up well and is comfortable. UA has also been good to deal with on the few occasions I've had issues with something of theirs I've purchased.

Everyone's got to start somewhere :)

Nike varies massively from year to year. I actually think they've done some pretty cracking Celtic strips (for example);

But they've also down a few howlers;

I quite like the way they've handled City's. Last season's was superb. I'm not as keen on this all blue number, but hopefully the quality is better. It's not hard to make sky blue, white and dark blue work well together! :D
