Very Proud of Joleon Lescott

I think what he's trying to say flash is that it was an unfunny unnecessary comment.... but if it makes you feel good using an endearing term... then so be it.

But why Legohead?

Legohead - because the ball can go absolutely anywhere when it hits his head, as if it had struck block of lego.

ie. the header for Cisse's goal in the QPR game but then he scores a goal against France.

That's '50p head' or 'ten bob head' in old money

"Ten Bob Head".

Haven't heard that in years, a common pisstake on the football fields of Manchester in the 80s and no doubt earlier.

You really wonder what he has to do before he's considered first choice for England, and not just someone who's there because Terry or Wio aren't in the middle of a race row or nailing a team mates wife. Arguably the most consistent CB this season (undermined almost entirely to the rest of the world by one poor back header), he even pops up with another crucial goal. And yet you just know if Cahill hadn't been injured he wouldn't be there, nor if there hadn't been the Terry/Anton Ferdinand incident. And despite a string of great games for England, most notable of which keeping out the Spanish squad single handedly (pretty much ;)), people still think he's the weak link at the back!

Speaking of which, we must be doing pretty well for goals conceded with Lescott in the team? For England I mean.

One of my favourites which, unlike 'lego head' needs no explanation.

I can also remember when a player would shout 'WOMAN' if a female turned up to watch. It would stop all the blokes swearing for about 5 minutes or so.
