Via Amsterdam

This is now about 12th option I have looked at. Flights direct from Manchester on the Wednesday to Friday about £80, return train ticket 84 Euros. Then it's one night in the Dam and one in Hamburg.

The return train ticket for 84 euros sounds interesting. Where would i get this from?

Anyone else going via this route. Theres about 8 of us get to amsterdam first thing wednesday morning, all day lash up and then getting the train to hamburg on the thursday morning.

Hows everyone else getting there?

me to, theres 8 of us, how you bookin the train, one of the lads were going with said it was about 140 quid to get to hamburg. have you seen it any cheaper????????

i didnt know which Hamburg train st we will go to so i put a random one in.

I think it's Hamburg HBF - Hauptbahnhof. Central station.

Me and Biggsy1 are doing this trip. There are still flights on the Wed afternoon Manchester - Amsterdam for £24.99 at BMI baby.

Booked the train online for 50 euro (cheers for the website whoever posted it) but I couldn't find a cheap flight on the Friday (cheapest was £135) so I got one on the Sat for 40 euros via Frankfurt.

Ryanair are doing a flight from Hamburg Lubeck to Frankfurt for a fiver so in total it's working out about £125 quid Wed - Sat without a hotel so far. Train to the airport about 10 euros and takes 50 minutes.

If you're thinking of going this could be a good route for you.

Five of us doing Dubai-Hamburg direct with Emirates Weds-Sat £318.

That's probably not much help to most of you though!

I looked at getting the ferry from N'castle-Dam over night Bout £135 for car +4. Amsterdam/Hamburg is a 4hr drive.
