Victory Parade?

Utd are doing theirs on May 13th, the Monday after the Cup Final. I can't believe that this hasn't been organised this way so that City couldn't do one on the Monday after the Cup Final (as we ordinarily would). They could have waited until the Monday after the last game of the season, but no, it had to be the Monday after the Cup Final. Small minded, small time and this as much as anything else shows how fixated they are by us. It also says a lot about GMP for allowing it to happen on this date.

We haven't won anything yet, so let's not start planning a parade, but Utd's 'stunt' is pathetic beyond words. They must be desperate to get a bigger turn out than they did for their 'Historic' 19th title a couple of years ago. A couple of hundred on their way home from an all nighter on Deansgate and a full staff turnout at Old Trafford doesn't really count as a 'parade'.
We play Reading on the 14th so the team would probably be traveling on the Monday anyway

Normally travel by train the day before, hope City have thought about that

I remember getting back from London on the Sunday afternoon after the 1969 FA Cup final and heading straight to the town hall for the victory parade.

We should have it on the Sunday afternoon after the final.... IF we win it.

I would agree, except the rags are at home that afternoon so GMP would knock that on the head right away.

I don't see the point in a parade this time. They should just walk it round the stadium on the last game of the season against Norwich.

It deserves a civic reception at the Town Hall and a packed Albert Square, every Cup winner gets that, not sure about the full parade - like you I'd have the Cup on the end of season lap of honour.

Id probably agree. Il definitely be at the parade if we win though! The last one was brilliant. I can imagine a fair few blues that were at the last one not showing for this one though, deflated about the league maybe. Thats the only thing that worrys me really, not that many showing up

Yes did not realize that.

Can't understand why the rags would do this, appears they want to piss on our party (if we win of course) or I reckon they want to make a point.

Just read this morning that if City were to win the FA Cup that the club plan to do a victory parade.

Personally I am baffled. 2 years ago Yes, as it was our first trophy in a long time. Last season of course.

Would beating Watford, Stoke, Leeds, Barnsley, Chelsea, Wigan warrant this?

Arrogance we dont need! Make the most of everything we can - nothing lasts forever - even down the road.....................

Why wouldn't we? I can't wait for the parade if we win
