Victory Parade?

I see the council have issued a statement saying that the MEN story is fabrication and there has been no discussions with the club whatsoever about a victory parade.

STATEMENT FROM MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL

"We are happy to confirm that there will be a parade in the early evening of Monday 13 May to mark Manchester United FC's title win, travelling from Old Trafford to Manchester City Centre. Full details will be announced in due course.

"We would also like to clarify that, contrary to the implication in some sections of the media today, Manchester City FC have never discussed or requested having a parade on Monday 13 May, or any other date.

Should they win the FA Cup and any suggestion about there being competition for that date is entirely unfounded."

*Note how Granada use a picture from United's last parade that makes it look rammed. Where's the f***ing empty pictures of Deansgate you c***s!

I don't see the point in a parade this time. They should just walk it round the stadium on the last game of the season against Norwich.

I think this is the best idea. Considering a lot of the seasoncard holders not on cup scheme wont see the trophy being lifted live from Wembley (IF we win)

Lets just win the bloody thing.

Thank god it was Mike Keegan who wrote that article and not our own Stuart Brennan.Fuck me,he`d have been lynched on here.

We'll only have another parade if we win the league, a double, a treble or the champions league. There wont ever be another parade for winning a single domestic cup, imo. Last time was because it was our first trophy in 35 years.

We have ALWAYS had a civic reception at the Town Hall for winning a Cup and I see no reason why we can't have that if we win it this year. Maybe not a full blown parade but a celebration in Albert Square is a must IMO.
