Is Moyes still employed by us?

He's supposed to be on gardening leave. We now learn he's spending his time fighting in clubs.

He will know the youth system inside out, also the club.

Few more years and would be great to see Patrick Vieira lead us to glory.

Maybe he can join Pellegrini´s staff in 1 or 2 years, Would be the next step.

Much will depend on how long Pellegrini stays in the job. If he leaves in the next couple of years it will probably be too soon for Vieira. However If Pellegrini stays for 4 or 5 years it might be that Vieira will be tempted by a job offer elsewhere, particularly if Arsenal approach him when Wenger steps down. He seems happy enough at City but I doubt that the emotional ties are that great.

Good point I feel if Wenger steps down he will definitely be on Arsenals radar

Interesting...

I certainly think the idea is/was that when Pellers goes we'll promote from within and let Vieira have a crack at the job as he'll know every player at the club and our style already. I'd be surprised if he'd be offered a bigger job anywhere else, don't think for a second Arsenal would take him without previous experience. If he did go elsewhere though to manage, it would certainly be beneficial for us as he'd likely want to take some of our youngsters on loan with him, and already know how to get the best out of them.

win win for us really.

Needs to prove his credentials though really, to the folks internally. Its not just a case of we promote from within, which is often a nice sentiment but one that rarely succeeds. He will be under pressure to be challenging for absolutely everything and it takes a top manager to do that. Whether PV has those credentials, only those inside the club can know.

I really hope he is our next manager. I have no doubt he will end up a top manager.

He has vast experience in the game.

I feel the time has come. At least short term and let's get Angelino in as Left Back immediately.

Clichy is utter dog shite.

Every now and again there's a slip... I wonder

Patrick Vieira is considering whether he has to leave Manchester City to fulfil his ambitions of being a first-team manager.

Vieira has done a great job heading the club’s elite development squad and performs an important ambassadorial role for City.

But he has privately accepted that he is unlikely to be given the top job whenever Manuel Pellegrini leaves and that his career may lead him elsewhere when the right opportunity arises.

Vieira joing Manchester City as a player from Inter Milan in January 2010, and made 28 Premier League appearances for the club before retiring 18 months later.

Upon his retirement he was appointed to the backroom staff at the club to help with elite development in a number of capacities.

So did the gypo at the rags and look how that turned out.

It's way too risky for us at the moment.

It's all a bit Liverpool boot room.

Brilliant and obvious when you're winning trophies year after year, but not so good when the success dries up, and you're left with Ronnie Evans and the bald guy with the sponge and the 1950s track suit.

if he can win UEFA Youth League, we should consider him as the next manager. or promoted him after win couple of trophies with EDS team.
