Ok, so he's in the later stages of his career but I consider him to be our 3rd 'marque' signing after Robinho and Tevez.
He's won pretty much everything apart from a champions league medal.
I think he's be a great influence on the squad and can be a monster in the middle for us.

Kompany is often needed in the back four, friars.

we need that piece of experience and leadership.....Viera has bags of it.

Personally I think this a very shrewd move by Mancini, ok his best years are behind him but you only have to look at Didi and how influential he was to get an idea, the best part though, and this is what I think Roberto might be thinking, is that this is pretty much Vierra`s last contract and maybe he sees it as the perfect opportunity/timing and leaves us in a great position so we can look at having him on the coaching staff when that day comes.
