Yeah Given, Bellamy, Sylvinho and now Vieira. They are no benefit to us at all ;)

20 April 1976 (1976-04-20) (age 33) Shay Given is at a good age for a keeper!!

July 13, 1979 (1979-07-13) (age 30) Craig is now at his peak in his carer and said he’s looking at retiring in a couple of years as he will be past it, his words

April 12, 1974 (1974-04-12) (age 35) Sylvinho, yeah mate what’s your point the guys is well passed his best and against the better teams in this league e.g. Spurs he was embarrassing, my point proven don’t you think?
not really,
Some thought the Given move was wrong as he was old and would hold back hart.

Many were against the bellamy move because he was past it and injury prone.

We need experiance as well as youth and Vieira has won almost everything. For a free transfer he is a fantastic signing. The way you are going on its as if we are doing a Bolton and only signing old players.

He is a fantastic free transfer - on a six month deal with an option for longer if he works out and stays injury free. He is on £100k a week.

all im saying its a shit first signing too old and passed his best, If Inter don’t want him then why the fuck would we want him??......they didn’t even want any money for him. Come on you tell me that sounds good? Please don’t come back and say well its a good deal for a squad player as well because if he was any good Inter would of said that we can fuck of because he’s a valuable squad player and you are not having him for free! City are the richest club in the world and when we come calling you think you could get at least 2/3M for his surly its business sense?.

Moratti has said he cannot give Jose any money for signings, Vieira is one of the big earners, he has 6 months on his contract, we didnt want to pay a fee for him so they cancel his contract rather than just loan him to us.

Just because we have money doesnt mean we should just through it at everything.

How about getting behind him rather than writing him off before he's even played a game for us?

Mancini has worked with him in the past and he knows what he is getting with Vieira. It's the same manager who bought him to Inter Milan.

I'd trust his judgement over some of the people on here who are being negative about this signing. He's won loads in Italy (Mancini), what have you lot ever done?

£100k a week.is this a joke?

Are you paying it?

End of the day the owners are happy for them wages to be offered and they can afford to do so. He wouldn't be on much less than that at Inter Milan. Lyon were also interested but we beat them to his signiture by offering superior wages to them. It's a small price to pay for him to sacrifice Champions League football.

no i am not saying that, what im saying is if Inter wanted to keep this little gem surley they wanted something for him because he is such and asset to the club?...no they thought fucking hell you can have him...and we dont want owt for him.
