Vieira Strikes Again

Some people totally miss the point. Not one team in history has won every game.

These supposed occasions when we have lost points due to our deficiencies would not have been lost points had referees done their jobs, so to blame the manager and squad is crass in the extreme. Conversely had refs been treating the rags in the same way then they would have lost points where they have won them. The delta in points would have meant we would be well clear by now.

This has nothing to do with managerial tactics or team performances just blatant bias. Unfortunately that is what we are up against.

I completely disagree.

Fair enough thats your opinion but the facts are that in the eight games where we have lost points this season you could easily argue that the ref has had a material impact on the outcome of all the results

Fulham away foul on dzeko in the lead up to their goal
Chelsea away blatant penalty not given at one nil, man sent off (prob fairly) penalty given
West brom goal disallowed
Liverpool away reina handball not given, balo harshly sent off
Sunderland away offside goal
Everton away 3 penalty claims waved away
Swansea away penalty given against, goal disallowed
Stoke away assault on silva nothing given

I get the point that in these games we could have played better and possibly won the games irrespective of the referees decision but you cannot get away from the fact that had the referees done their jobs then you're argument would have been made redundant and we would have been saying that the true sign of champions is winning when you are not playing well. Much like the rags have been doing precisely because of favourable refereeing decisions

To an extent, but the whole point is if we'd done our job properly we wouldn't been whining about the refs and having to rely on them.

I also think quite a few of those gripes are seen through blue tinted specs, and none of them should have had a bearing on the result.

Put it this way, are we really saying that 1 decision in 1 second of a 90 minute game is the reason and the excuse for us not winning?

Yeah we might not get a penalty, or there might be a foul in the build-up to a goal, but there's at least 89 minutes 59 seconds of the rest of the game for us to do something about it, and too often, away from home, for the same reasons we're not doing that.

Anyway, this thread is about Paddy's comments so let's leave it there.

Dont forget should've had a pen on Dzeko against Liverpool, they went up the other end and got a penalty for a ridiculous handball against Micah, worst penalty decision since the Sun Jihai shoulder barge, that got us knocked out the cup.

Seems like Vieira has joined the ''agenda'' brigade, maybe not so paranoid after all.

Yeah you are still really paranoid... no agenda no nothing, ref's get things wrong for many reason's...

Viera just stoking the fire a little... Makes a ref think next time he has a city or United game, Fergie has done it for years.

If we dont win the title this year only the pathetic will blame a ref... Given the refs didnt blow our lead, cause Tevez to be a cock, or book the ACON to piss us off.... They also didnt stop Dzeko looking like a world beater one min and a donkey thet next...

In a nutshell lay of the weed

Methinks you're taking the term ''agenda'' too literally.
