Villa (H) Post Match Thread

A great performance of grit and guile against defensively superb opponents. For the 500 posting in the match thread about strikers, we are on a great winning run without a dedicated hitman and there is no guarantee, whatsoever, that we would be creating as many chances with one. Can we not just accept that we may just be reinventing English football once more. Get in lads.
And we did the same a couple of years ago without a striker for months.

Tough game tonight, but good result in the end, back to the top, lets hope we stay there until the end of the season, Come on City, Stick together.

Dermot Gallagher explaining calmly and clearly the actuality of the decision, by quoting the Laws of the Game. Michael Owen almost having a coronary
“unbelievable consequences“ “watershed moment in football“ “has to change“
What a complete and utter bellend
You’d think from all this that the non-offside led to a tap-in to an open goal, actually the goal was created by some brilliant play, but the numb nuts can’t bring themselves to see or say it.

Glad the goal stood but don't agree with the decision (or the rule depending upon interpretation).

Grealish good player but what a snide dirty sh!t. Reminds me of a slightly better Barton.

Aston Villa manager Dean Smith to BT Sport: "In terms of effort, it was heroic. We only had three days' training and played a very good team. They had lots of chances but they've missed them and they've been given two goals at the end.

"Are we just going to leave players behind the line then? It's farcical. He was 10 yards offside and come back and tackled our player, it's a pathetic law and a pathetic decision.

"I said to the fourth official David Coote 'did you get juggling balls for Christmas?' I don't think any other manager would get sent off for that.

"Matty Cash is a yard away for the handball, he can't jump without his arms up. He didn't even look at it, it flabbergasts me. It was a poor performance from the officials and that's cost us."

So he's not happy. Three days training is okay after two weeks rest. How many of their players actually had covid? Anyway we had to cope with a similar situation so fuck them.
Imagine getting sent off for a shit insult about clowns, that's hilarious.

Dean Smith after Rags cheat with a Pogba dive to score the winning goal recently v Villa.
A dubious penalty has lost us the game.

Today after we score a goal that’s deemed correct in accordance to the rule.
sent off, Terry confronts Moss in Tunnel and fuming in interview calling it farcical and the penalty rediculas.

Amazing how upset people get when it happens against us.

28 shots, he should consider himself lucky we have no strikers and how Moss let them esp Grealish get away from late fouls. Grealish should have picked up a few yellows alone. Needs to look in the mirror about his teams own snide tactics

That was a cracker. We really have our Mojo back now. Rode our luck at times but they did even more than us. Gundogan is so consistent now and Foden just gets better. I expected to drop points tonight. Just hope Grealish doesn't go to Utd, he is some player.

Really surprised Dean Smith is salty about that handball. If that isn't handball, I don't know what is (Maybe the Suarez one vs Ghana was clearer I guess).
Also, they should announce the handball rule before every game since they keep on changing it every season.
