Villa (H) Post Match Thread

Fantastic three points. Bernardo back to his best, Gundogan brilliant, Foden took the piss all game. But BT Sport need a fucking bollocking for their bias shown throughout. They were desperate for us to concede and not win and how many times did they mix up players. And when Traore did the only decent thing all night and control the ball they couldn’t even get which foot he controlled it with right. Moss was a shambles and someone needs to take Grealish down a dark alley. Put Walker out of the game with a knee into his hip followed by a judo throw, put Kev out with another late tackle and then thought he was playing American football with Stones. Irony is he when he throws himself to the ground he is begging refs for a yellow to be given. I hope someone asks Pep if he is the sort of player he wants to bring to the club and the answer is no because he is a diving, cheating, snivelling **** and he isn’t a good enough player.
Absolutely

Is the ? Offside not the same as when a striker stands 10 yards ahead of the defensive line at a free kick
Yes, according to the bt pundits that striker then can’t touch the ball until it goes out of play, or something. Do these thick cnuts actually think about what they’re saying ever? The so-called offside is not even a question, it’s something that is accepted and happens ten times every game!

Love it, Walton being forced to admit he didn't know the rule book he is paid to know.

Well done Robbie Savage sticking up for us.

As for Bernie, he has been back to his best for three or four weeks, him and Gundo won us that with their desire to keep going.

Sterling and Jesus need to either get with it or don't fucking sulk if other players are in better form.

Thought it was Rodri's best game for a while, but our midfield never learnt that Grealish likes to drive inside with the ball.

Phew.

How can Walton not know that rule? Its not new, its been there since about 1990.

Is it me or is the BT commentary and summarisers biased like Sky?
Totally. Everyone is because utd /lfc fanbase are where the profit and clicks are.

I've just listen to Fulham score against United the pundits reaction was unbelievable, so depressed so it's not just City it is pro United and Liverpool

greasy **** took out two players and three nasty challenges but still managed to get away without even a yellow .
How is that even possible?

Its par for the course against us - particularly when Moss is in charge. It happens game after game.

Absolutely buzzing after that. Hard fought but mainly down to our profligacy. We were a level above all game.

Fake result.....offside & never handball as it was not on target (according to McManaman) :-)

3pts and top of the league - up yours BT
MCFC OK
By pointy cunts rules, that means you can be an outfield player and pick the ball up in the area, as long as it’s not on target :-))
I’m fuckin loving all this bile and trying to belittle our wins it’s music to my ears.. The more bitter these clowns get the happier i am ....

The players were absolutely furious at that one.

I genuinely thought we would get someone sent off for calling out Moss. Dean Smith being the one was a surprise.
After he gave it as a goalkick instead of a corner I think I just switched off and didn't even think about it.

Yeah I'm glad we scored, the players were getting furious with him after he gave all those soft fouls for Villa.

A great performance of grit and guile against defensively superb opponents. For the 500 posting in the match thread about strikers, we are on a great winning run without a dedicated hitman and there is no guarantee, whatsoever, that we would be creating as many chances with one. Can we not just accept that we may just be reinventing English football once more. Get in lads.
If we'd had a striker we might not have needed around 28 chances to score.

Shocking how former professional players struggle comprehending the rules of the game.

Mings became active playing the Ball.

Very similar to a Brain dead defender making a back pass to the Keeper with an attacker coming back from an off side postion.

I cant remember who it was against, but it was definitely a City game.It might have been Steve Lomas (i think). He had left the field of play during a City attack.Brain dead defender passes back to the Keeper as he had just come on the field of play, comes from behind the Keeper intecepts the Ball. And slots home.GOAL.

A player in an offside position receiving the ball from an opponent, who deliberately plays the ball, is not considered to have gained an advantage’.

"Therefore, Mings playing the ball deliberately - you can see him try and chest the ball - plays the Manchester City player onside even though he’s in an offside position and therefore the goal should stand.

"Just to clarify that, he wasn’t gaining an advantage by being where he was."

All these roles are wrong and confusing players .....
When City gain an advantage ..... Wio is turning into a dipper, ashamed of nothing :-)
If Mings had headed the ball backward to his keeper and Rodri had received it then Rodri would again be onside because the opponent played it to him, it’s no different.

Never off side and any pundit who said it was has just confirmed they do not understand the LotG

Owen was straight in there but we already know he is an imbecile

Excellent win for gritty City. Nasty weather as well
